HAL Bengaluru introduces satellite-guided helicopter navigation
HAL’s Bengaluru airport introduced India’s first satellite-guided precision navigation procedure for helicopter approaches and departures. The procedure was developed by the Airports Authority of India, validated through HAL test-pilot flight trials, and approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
