Airbnb partnered with renewable energy company Holaluz on a pilot programme in Spain designed to encourage platform hosts to adopt green energy. The programme includes special rates, meetings and a 40-euro welcome bonus for hosts who choose Holaluz’s green energy.

Sustainalytics ranked Holaluz number one among its direct peers in the electricity-company category in its ESG Risk Rating. The rating placed Holaluz among the top 2% in Sustainalytics' overall universe and second in the utilities category, and assigned it a low-risk score of 12.
