    Hollywood Burbank Airport's nearly $1.3 billion replacement passenger terminal opened to travelers on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, replacing the previous 232,000-square-foot complex with a 355,000-square-foot facility on the opposite side of the airfield. The new terminal retains the airport's 14 gates while adding expanded TSA screening areas, additional passenger amenities and a new parking structure. The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority owns and operates the airport, and an Alaska Airlines flight was the first to depart from the new terminal.
