    Multiple Subsidiaries Fined for Environmental Violations and Illegal New Capacity

    Multiple Hongshi Cement subsidiaries were punished: Ningyuan Hongshi was fined RMB 422,400 by the Yongzhou Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau for putting into operation before acceptance and constructing before approval; subsidiaries in Tonglu, Zhangping and Lanzhou were fined respectively for abnormal monitoring equipment, mine drainage hazards and cross-boundary mining. Longli Hongshi's actual capacity exceeded the approval (from 4000 t/d to 8000 t/d) and it was ordered to rectify. In 2020, an inspection worker at Nanning Hongshi died in a fall from height. The relevant subsidiaries were fined and rectified.
