    Wind Turbine Collapses During Trial Operation at Huaneng Anhui Mengcheng Wind Farm; Four Units Including Huaneng Wind Power Fined RMB 300,000 Each

    In 2023, the F12 wind turbine at Huaneng Anhui Mengcheng Banqiaoji Wind Farm collapsed during trial operation. After an investigation by the East China Regulatory Bureau of the National Energy Administration, in 2025 the construction unit Huaneng Anhui Mengcheng Wind Power Co., Ltd. and three other units responsible for construction, design, and supervision were each fined RMB 300,000. In addition, Huaneng Huili Wind Power was fined RMB 320,000 by the Sichuan Energy Regulatory Office for failing to handle engineering quality supervision procedures; the Clean Energy Branch of Huaneng Hainan Power Generation Co., Ltd. was fined RMB 590,000 for multiple safety production and engineering quality violations; and Huaneng Anhui Shitai Wind Power was fined RMB 100,000 for falsely reporting its grid-connection time. Progress: administrative penalties. Entities involved: Huaneng Anhui Mengcheng Wind Power Co., Ltd., Huaneng Huili Wind Power Co., Ltd., and the Clean Energy Branch of Huaneng Hainan Power Generation Co., Ltd.
