    Controversy involving chairman John Sharpe

According to the IHS Press Wikipedia article’s account of reporting by the Southern Poverty Law Center, John Sharpe was investigated while serving as a U.S. Navy public affairs officer after reports concerning antisemitic activities. The account says the Navy reassigned and reprimanded him for criticisms of President George W. Bush and the Iraq War in books he edited, rather than for antisemitism. It also reports his connections with the Legion of St. Louis and the St. George Educational Trust, characterizing both within that cited account as part of a radical Catholic milieu.
