Jefferson Health discloses breach exposing patient billing information
Jefferson Health disclosed that an unauthorized person accessed an online billing portal on November 18 and attempted to divert wire payments meant for Jefferson. The investigation determined on November 22 that a remittance sheet containing billing information for 9,095 patients had been obtained. The article says social security numbers and financial account information were not involved.
