    Intel conducts targeted job cuts affecting channel-facing sales roles

    Intel confirmed it took "targeted actions" in June 2026, including layoffs and early retirement packages, that affected channel-facing roles within its global sales organization. Channel partners including Nor-Tech, International Computer Concepts, D&H Distributing and ASI reported losing or changing Intel sales and technical coverage, with Nor-Tech left without an Intel representative for more than three months. Intel declined to say how many roles or partners were impacted, said the cuts align with CEO Lip-Bu Tan's push for a leaner, faster-moving company, and stated that "Intel remains very committed to its channel and partner ecosystem."
