Neubauer separated-twins study
Psychiatrist Peter B. Neubauer conducted a long-term study of identical twins and triplets separated through adoption. The children and adoptive parents were not fully informed about the study or the existence of biological siblings. The research was never completed, and the sealing of its records has prompted continuing criticism concerning informed consent, research ethics, adoption practices, privacy, and institutional accountability.
