Nucor agrees to acquire majority ownership of California Steel Industries
Nucor announced agreements to acquire a majority ownership position in California Steel Industries by purchasing a 50% equity interest from a Vale subsidiary and a 1% stake from JFE Steel. The companies said the transaction was subject to regulatory approvals, and the resulting company would be a joint venture between Nucor and JFE.
