    Jiangling Motors recalls Ford Equator Sport, New Generation Transit and other models

    According to an announcement by the Defective Product Management Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Jiangling Motors Co., Ltd. recalled 734 Jiangling Ford Equator Sport gasoline vehicles in 2023 because of welding deviation in the instrument panel tubular beam bracket; long-term use may cause loosening, abnormal noise, or even detachment, posing a safety hazard, and the instrument panel tubular beam assembly will be replaced free of charge; in 2018 Jiangling also recalled some Jiangling Ford New Generation Transit vehicles because the crankshaft position sensor and flywheel may contact and wear, causing a risk of engine stall.
