JVCKENWOOD announces planned Kenwood WSA1 headset launch
JVCKENWOOD announced an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for two wireless smart headsets and said it would launch the Kenwood WSA1 and WSA1G models. The WSA1 is described as compatible with Amazon Alexa, while the WSA1G is optimized for Google Assistant.

JVCKenwood, NEC and two other entities join HEVC Advance licensing program as licensors
HEVC Advance announced that JVCKenwood Corp., NEC Corp., Intellectual Discovery Co. Ltd. and Korean Patent Investment Corporation would become licensors in its HEVC/H.265 patent-pool licensing program. The announcement said their relevant essential patents were integrated into the HEVC Advance license.
