    Disclosure violations draw SSE criticism; syringes hit with US FDA import alert

    In December 2022, the Shanghai Stock Exchange publicly criticized Kangdelai and then-board secretary Gu Jiajun for failing to timely disclose commitments related to a subsidiary's control, major asset restructuring procedures and other delayed disclosures; in 2023 the company was again subject to regulatory measures over disclosure issues. In May 2024, the US FDA issued an import alert on plastic syringes made by Kangdelai, recommending that US medical institutions stop using the China-made syringes. The disciplinary action was recorded in integrity files; exports of the company's syringes to the US market were blocked.
