    Kens Sand & Cement Pty Ltd was fined $135,000 in the Industrial Court of NSW following a SafeWork NSW prosecution. The proceedings arose from a 9 February 2023 incident in Dundas, NSW, where a worker operating a truck-mounted crane to unload a bag of sand contacted overhead powerlines, bringing down a live low voltage powerline and damaging the truck's driver's side door and window; the worker was not injured. The company pleaded guilty to an offence under section 32 of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW) for failing to comply with its duty to workers under section 19(1) of the Act.
