Luxembourg regulator ALIA fines LiveJasmin operators €25,000 for age verification noncompliance
Luxembourg's independent audiovisual regulator ALIA (Autorité luxembourgeoise indépendante de l'audiovisuel) announced in late September 2026 that it fined JWS Americas and JWS International, the companies operating the cam site LiveJasmin, a total of €25,000 for failing to enforce age-gating in violation of Luxembourg's Electronic Media Law and the EU Digital Services Act. The penalty followed a parent's complaint about unrestricted access to the LiveJasmin website and builds on regulatory actions initiated in August 2025. ALIA alleged that LiveJasmin and its associated companies failed to cooperate during the investigation, while JWS representatives argued the violations were isolated breaches and that age verification measures had been standardized across EU member states.
