M1 agrees to acquire up to 70% of Glocomp Systems
M1 signed an agreement to acquire up to 70% of ICT Glocomp Systems and its affiliated companies through its Malaysian subsidiary AsiaPac Technology. Completion of the initial transaction portion is planned for the end of the first half of the following year, subject to agreed conditions.

Singapore's IMDA issued M1 a $400,000 financial penalty for broadband service disruptions in May and StarHub a $210,000 penalty for similar disruptions in April. The reported total was $610,000.

Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority fined StarHub S$210,000 and M1 S$400,000 for contravening the telecommunications service resilience code in connection with service disruptions. IMDA found M1 in contravention for its first incident but not its second.
