Mayinglong Pharmacy embroiled in 'recirculated drugs' and medical-insurance violations; multiple stores' insurance agreements terminated
In March 2025, Mayinglong Pharmacy became embroiled in a "recirculated drugs" controversy, and about 40 of its medical-insurance designated pharmacies were investigated; among them, a pharmacy in Huiji, Zhengzhou, had 1.44588 million yuan of medical-insurance funds recovered for settling drug claims with forged prescriptions and had its medical-insurance service agreement terminated. In January 2026, another store had 7,256.6 yuan recovered for empty swiping of medical-insurance cards and had its medical-insurance agreement terminated. Media said strong performance could not conceal the compliance controversy.

Erythromycin ointment fails drug spot check, cited in notice
In January 2020, erythromycin ointment produced by Mayinglong failed content determination in a drug spot check and was cited by drug regulators; reports said its subsidiary had previously been penalized multiple times for violations. The relevant batches were controlled and rectified.
