    Mercury Security launches Mercury S4 series I/O modules

    Mercury Security, an open-architecture access control hardware brand under HID, announced on October 12, 2026 the launch of the Mercury S4 series I/O modules to help enterprises modernize and expand physical access control infrastructure on existing facilities. The MR54-S4 reader interface module delivers four-door control in the footprint of a two-door module, and the platform adds hardware-based security including secure boot and a Common Criteria EAL6+ certified secure access module, with 6x the memory and 8x the storage of the previous generation.
