US ITC issues partial final determination in Section 337 investigation with Nanomics Biotechnology as default respondent

On October 13, 2026, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) announced a partial final determination in its Section 337 investigation (No. 337-TA-1508) concerning certain systems, devices, software, compositions, chemicals, and laboratory supplies for studying proteins. The Commission declined to review the administrative law judge's September 16, 2026 initial determination (No. 7), under which the sole named respondent, Nanomics Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (珞米生命科技) of Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, was found in default, and recommended remedies of a general exclusion order and cease-and-desist order. Interested parties, government agencies, and individuals may submit comments on the recommended remedies, public interest, and bond of no more than 15 pages by October 30, 2026.
