    NEG launches Starveil BDX-3 ultra-thin protection glass for space applications

    Nippon Electric Glass Co., Ltd. (NEG) developed a new Starveil ultra-thin protection glass named BDX-3 for aerospace applications. The glass is designed to reduce radiation-induced discoloration while providing stronger UV shielding than BDX-2; although mainly targeting low Earth orbit (LEO), it can also be used in medium Earth orbit (MEO) and higher orbits, making it suitable for a broader range of space environments.
