Shareholder dispute leads to full grounding

In December 2008, Wang Junjin, chairman of the Juneyao group, applied to suspend flights on the grounds that he could not bear safety responsibility, and the CAAC North China Regional Administration approved it; the other four shareholders questioned whether the suspension application had gone through board and shareholder meeting procedures and raised disputes over capital contributions, equity, and legal representative changes. Due to interruptions in aviation fuel and parts supply, passenger flights were suspended early on December 6, affecting a large number of passengers. After shareholders reconciled, CAAC approved Okay Airways to resume flights in stages from January 24, 2009.
