WEX and OMV agree to expand WEX’s European presence

OMV expands petrochemical production capacity in Burghausen
OMV is expanding and modernizing the cracker facilities and petrochemical cold section at its Burghausen refinery, with the aim of increasing ethylene and propylene production capacity. The upgraded units are expected to go live in the third quarter of 2022.

Polish watchdog fines Gazprom over Nord Stream 2
Poland’s UOKiK watchdog fined Gazprom more than 29 billion zlotys for building the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline without Warsaw’s approval. UOKiK also fined five other companies involved in financing the project. Gazprom said it had not violated Polish antimonopoly regulations and would appeal.

Poland's anti-monopoly watchdog said it fined Gazprom more than 29 billion zlotys for building the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline without its approval. The watchdog also said it fined five other firms involved in financing the project, including Uniper, Wintershall, Shell, OMV, and Engie.
