    'SAST Xianke' gas stoves fail spot checks in multiple places, raising safety hazards over flameout protection

    In July 2020, a spot check published by the Beijing Municipal Market Supervision Administration found that a 'SAST Xianke' JZT-A gas stove produced by Zhongshan Xuehua Electric Appliance was noncompliant, involving issues with heat load, flameout protection devices and structure, and regulators ordered it to be removed from shelves and handled according to law. In a January 2021 Hubei provincial spot check, gas stoves and gas water heaters marked 'Xianke: SAST' were again noncompliant on items including heat load, and were ordered to stop production and sales, with a case investigation opened. Status: regulatory notice. Entity involved: Zhongshan Xuehua Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. (authorized manufacturer of Xianke SAST). Scope: Xianke SAST brand gas stoves.
