E.ON Innovation, SSEN and Costain announced that they had begun a four-year Resilience as a Service project to develop services for energy resilience and grid stability in remote areas. The first demonstration site is planned for Scotland.

Energy regulator Ofgem approved Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks’ proposal for SSEN Distribution to contribute £251 million towards the proposed interconnector between Shetland and the Scottish mainland.
