Serta recalls Perfect Sleeper mattresses over fire hazard
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that Serta was recalling Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses because they failed to meet the mandatory federal flammability standard, posing a fire hazard. About 800 mattresses are included. Serta said purchasers would be contacted directly and eligible consumers would receive a free replacement mattress, including delivery and disposal.

Serta launches Stay Home, Send Beds program
Serta launched the “Stay Home, Send Beds” program to facilitate bed donations for hospitals and temporary medical facilities across the United States during the COVID-19 pandemic. Visitors to the program website can purchase up to 10,000 beds for distribution in a city of their choosing; Serta will donate an additional bed for every 25 beds donated through the program.
