SingPost launches Asia's first digital stamps for local mail

Singapore Post (SingPost) on Thursday, October 8, 2026, coinciding with World Post Day, launched Asia's first digital stamps for local mail and began a public trial. Customers buy postage via the SingPost mobile app, instantly receive a unique code, write it in the top-right corner of the envelope in place of a physical stamp, and post letters and postcards into letterboxes, post offices, or the 'Return Mail' slots of SingPost@MyBlock residential letterboxes. The digital stamps come in standard regular mail (62 cents) and standard large mail (90 cents) denominations, with a minimum purchase of five per denomination. To encourage trial, SingPost offered a promotional price of S$1 for five standard regular digital stamps (originally S$3.10) and S$1.50 for five standard large digital stamps (originally S$4.50), limited to one set per account per denomination and usable before April 6, 2027; other digital stamps bought via the app are valid for 24 months from purchase. The trial phase runs until April 6, 2027, during which SingPost will collect public feedback via in-app surveys, and a free roadshow was held at SingPost Centre from October 8 to 11.
