Sun International appoints Sam Sithole as chairperson
Sun International announced the appointment of Sam Sithole as its new chairperson, replacing Jabu Mabuza. Sithole would also chair the group's nomination committee.

Sun International begins restructuring
Sun International reported that it had launched a Section 189A retrenchment exercise as part of a significant restructuring. The process could result in up to 2,300 job losses in South Africa; the company also said it was in the process of divesting its stake in Sun Dreams in Chile and planned to divest operations in Nigeria and eSwatini.
