Sunfire and Total announce refinery methanol pilot project
Sunfire and Total announced a pilot project at the Leuna refinery in Germany to produce methanol from renewable energy and carbon dioxide. Sunfire will provide and operate a 1-megawatt electrolyser; the plant was planned for completion the following year, with production expected to start in 2021.
