Sofia whole-house customization faces formaldehyde exceedance complaints
Multiple consumers complained that after Sofia whole-house customization was installed and ventilated for one to two years, indoor formaldehyde and TVOC levels were still seriously above standards, and they were “afraid to go home”; Sofia mostly responded that single board samples passed testing and refused or restricted on-site testing, triggering controversy that “board compliance does not equal indoor air compliance”; its products also appeared on a “blacklist” in furniture spot checks. No administrative penalty was seen, and consumer rights protection continues.
