    Hsu Hsiang-kun bribery and corruption case

    Former chairman Hsu Hsiang-kun was arrested over allegations connected with the extension of a Kintech Technology Company contract to expand two water-purification facilities. The project deadline had previously been extended twice, and prosecutors alleged that Hsu accepted NT$5 million for a further extension to September 2007. Hsu was indicted in 2014.
