TASMAC liquor shops closed during worker strike

TASMAC workers struck work and demonstrated against being assigned to collect empty liquor bottles. More than 150 liquor shops in Tirunelveli and Tenkasi districts remained closed on Sunday and Monday; the agitation was withdrawn after officials said workers need not receive the bottles until further government orders.
