Trip.com allowed women to book women-only sleeping-car compartments on trains. The policy drew accusations of sex segregation, after which Trip.com reversed the arrangement.

Eight management and childcare staff sentenced at first instance in parent-child center child abuse case
In 2017, the Ctrip parent-child center was exposed for caregivers abusing young children by smearing mustard, intimidating them, and pushing them. In November 2018, the Changning District Court sentenced 8 management and childcare staff to fixed-term imprisonment or suspended sentences at first instance and applied occupational bans. The defendants in this case are specific personnel of the parent-child center; their sentences should not be regarded as a Ctrip CEO or corporate legal person being sentenced.
