Class-action lawsuits filed against Cognizant over TriZetto data breach
Multiple class-action lawsuits have been filed against Cognizant Technology Solutions over a prolonged data breach at its healthcare subsidiary TriZetto Provider Solutions that exposed sensitive personal information including Social Security numbers, financial account information, and home addresses, and went undetected for nearly a year. The lawsuits accuse Cognizant of failing to protect data and delaying notification to affected individuals.

Cognizant and TriZetto Provider Solutions face class action lawsuits over data breach
At least four class action lawsuits were filed in December 2025 against Cognizant Technology Solutions and its subsidiary TriZetto Provider Solutions in US district courts for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Missouri, alleging failure to adequately protect sensitive patient data and failure to provide timely notifications after a cyberattack that allegedly breached TriZetto's network around November 2024 and was not identified until around October 2, 2025.
