UBTech's persistent losses, humanoid robot order fulfillment and 'mass-production video fraud' questioned

UBTech reported 2025 revenue of RMB 2.001 billion and a net loss of RMB 789 million, with net operating cash outflow of RMB 784 million and accounts receivable of RMB 1.842 billion with slow collection; it has still not turned a profit 14 years after founding. Its U1 companion robot had 13,361 pre-orders, but deposits were refundable, and it later disclosed that only 1,500–2,000 units could be delivered within the year, raising market doubts about the quality of the orders; previously, the founder of US-based Figure publicly questioned the authenticity of its humanoid robot mass-production video, and UBTech called the claim untrue and released additional videos.
