Vadamalayan Hospitals launches surgical robotic system at its Dindigul hospital
Vadamalayan Hospitals launched an advanced surgical robotic system at its Dindigul hospital on Friday (2026-10-09), described as a first in Dindigul district. The hospital's stated objective was to make cutting-edge robotic surgery affordable and accessible to people of the Dindigul region, and the system will support specialities including cardio thoracic, urology, gynaecology, gastro surgery, surgical oncology and general surgery. The robot was launched by Dr. M. Ramalingam in the presence of SS Innovations vice president Srinivasa Reddy.

Vadamalayan Hospitals in Madurai inaugurated a state-of-the-art surgical robot sourced from SS Innovations (SSI). Doctors said the system would be used across specialities including cardiothoracic, urology, gynaecology, gastrointestinal surgery, oncology and general surgery, and the hospital's Joint Managing Director said the launch marked a new era in precision surgery for southern Tamil Nadu.
