Patient sues Vanderbilt University Medical Center over HIV and hepatitis exposure risk
A Nashville patient, Bzur Haun, filed a lawsuit against Vanderbilt University Medical Center seeking compensatory damages, alleging he was potentially exposed to HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C through a contaminated simethicone solution used during a July 2024 colonoscopy. His attorney said he represents 72 clients and plans further lawsuits.
