VIA Rail launches co-development phase of Dorval Multimodal Hub with Kiewit and partners
VIA Rail Canada launched the co-development phase of the Dorval Multimodal Hub, an integrated station bringing together VIA Rail and exo passenger rail services and the shuttle to YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport. Construction Kiewit Cie was selected as design and construction partner, with collaboration from ARTM, exo and Aéroports de Montréal; construction is planned for 2027.

CN begins shutdown of Eastern Canada operations amid protest blockades
CN announced it had begun a progressive shutdown of its operations in Eastern Canada until protest blockades on its lines in Ontario were removed. The shutdown included securing transcontinental trains across its Canadian network, including intercity VIA Rail service.
