    Yingzhi passenger vehicle project stalls; dealers exit en masse and seek compensation

    Weichai (Chongqing) Automobile (formerly Jialing Chuanjiang Automobile) launched Yingzhi brand passenger vehicles, but sales were dismal, with 4S stores selling only four vehicles per month on average, and the Jiangjin base was reported to be near a production halt; dealers collectively demanded to withdraw from the network, have deposits returned and seek compensation, claiming cumulative losses of about RMB 200 million over four years. Weichai gradually withdrew from passenger vehicles.
