Substandard medical masks bring fines and repeated recalls
A batch of Zhende Medical's medical surgical masks failed the mask-strap breaking-strength test, and the company was fined 30,000 yuan by the Shaoxing market regulator in 2019; in 2020, a National Medical Products Administration sampling inspection found its medical absorbent cotton unqualified; in August 2025, Zhende's medical surgical masks again triggered a Level 3 recall because the breaking strength at the mask-strap connection points failed to meet requirements.
