Taiji Group

Taiji Group Co., Ltd. ("Guoyao Taiji") is a member enterprise of China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation ("Sinopharm"). Its predecessor was the Sichuan Fuling Traditional Chinese Medicine Factory founded in 1972; it was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 1997 (ticker 600129.SH) and became a Sinopharm-controlled subsidiary through strategic restructuring in 2021. Guoyao Taiji focuses on modern TCM intelligent manufacturing with specialty narcotic/psychotropic chemical drugs as a supplement, and its business covers pharmaceutical R&D, pharmaceutical industry, pharmaceutical commerce, Chinese medicinal material resources, and international health industry. It holds 1,240 drug approval numbers and has more than 10,000 employees. Its brand value proposition is "正源出新" and it positions itself as "traditional TCM inheritor + modern TCM innovator + TCM ecosystem builder."

The predecessor of Taiji Group Co., Ltd. was the Sichuan Fuling Traditional Chinese Medicine Factory founded in 1972. It was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 1997 (ticker 600129.SH). In 2021, through strategic restructuring, it became a Sinopharm-controlled subsidiary. Its development history page lists dates including 1752, 1851, 1908, 1928, 1950, 1972, 1987, 1988, 1992, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2003, 2016, 2021, and 2026, with the earliest entry noting the founding of the "震元堂" medicine processing workshop (predecessor of the former Shaoxing Traditional Chinese Medicine Factory and Taiji Group Zhejiang Dongfang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.).

  Huoxiang Zhengqi Water flagged by NMPA over excessive methanol

  In August 2022, the National Medical Products Administration notified 20 batches of drugs as noncompliant, including three batches of Huoxiang Zhengqi Water from Taiji Group subsidiary Nanchong Pharmaceutical with methanol levels exceeding the limit. Taiji Group apologized and recalled 15,677 boxes from the unsold portion; drug regulators required a case investigation.

  Taiji Group's Chongqing TCM No.2 Factory penalized over substandard Xiao'er Kechuanling Granules

  CNR disclosed the Chongqing Food and Drug Administration's fourth enforcement information for 2016: batch 1401003 of Xiao'er Kechuanling Granules produced by Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine No.2 Factory had properties that did not meet specifications, was deemed an inferior drug, and illegal gains were confiscated.
