Great Wall Motor announced a recall of 16,216 Ora iQ vehicles produced from July 7, 2018 to October 30, 2019. The recall notice said a mismatch between some power batteries and the BMS software control strategy could, after prolonged and frequent fast charging, cause battery performance to decline and, in extreme cases, thermal runaway.
