Acratech

Acratech is a family-run manufacturer of quality, innovative products for photography and imaging, with all products made in its Pomona, CA facility. Scott Dordick is the founder and CEO. In 1999 Acratech was a job shop doing machining for customers including aerospace, automotive and medical, and in the evenings Scott designed and manufactured the original prototype of the Ultimate Ball-Head. Its product range includes ball-heads, leveling bases, long lens heads, panoramic products, and video products.

In the evenings Scott designed and manufactured the original prototype of the Ultimate Ball-Head, which he designed because he could not find a strong and lightweight Ball-Head that would work well for hiking and travel photography.
