History
Action Records has been established since 1979, starting off on a stall in Blackpool just as the independent music scene was emerging. From there we soon opened a site in Preston in 1981 where we have been ever since stocking a huge collection of new and used music. We have always been at the forefront of music trends throughout the years hosting both in and outstore promotion shows by the likes of Snow Patrol, Fontaines D.C. Bastille, Lathums, Blossoms, Ginnel etc. We have also established our own record label, releasing music by bands such as The Fall, Mark E Smith, Boo Radleys, Dandelion Adventure, Big Red Bus, Common Cold, Genocides, Tompaulin, Fi-Lo Radio, Monkey Steals The Drum amongst others.
