Overview

Allo is a Ukrainian group of companies focused on consumer electronics retail, online marketplace operations and electronics distribution. Headquartered in Dnipro, the business began in 1998 as a chain of mobile-communications and electronics stores and subsequently expanded into a national omnichannel retailer. Its activities now include the Allo and Allo Max store formats, the allo.ua marketplace and mobile application, Mi Store locations, logistics and pickup services under Allo Express, and the Cifrotech distribution business. The company sells smartphones, computers, tablets, televisions, audio and video equipment, household appliances, photography products, smart-home devices, accessories and other technology products. Its marketplace model allows third-party merchants to offer products through the Allo platform, while the physical network provides sales, service, order collection and product demonstration functions. By early 2025, the group reported more than 250 stores in over 100 Ukrainian cities. The number and location of outlets has changed because of wartime damage, occupation and continuing network development. Allo’s development has included the launch of Allo.ua in 2006, the transition to a marketplace in 2017, extended-format Allo Max stores, dedicated Smart Home stores, telecom franchise outlets and a proprietary logistics operation. Cifrotech, established in 2004, distributes electronics and represents Xiaomi in Ukraine. During the COVID-19 period, Allo expanded its logistics and loyalty infrastructure; during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, it relocated warehouses to western Ukraine and adapted stores into emergency community facilities during power outages. The company repositioned itself in the second half of 2024 as a marketplace emphasizing innovation and simpler shopping, adopting the slogan “Open Allo – Solve the problem.” It also redesigned its mobile application, expanded marketplace delivery to pickup points and continued remodeling stores around online-order collection and digital product discovery. Online sales represented more than half of total sales by early 2026 according to the referenced company material. Newer areas of activity include electric-vehicle sales, including Xiaomi electric cars, and the INNOWOW category for accessible innovative products. Allo also operates loyalty and social-impact initiatives. Its FISHKA coalition program has operated since 2013, while Allo Hroshi is a company loyalty program. The group has supported medical evacuation equipment for Ukraine’s armed forces, prosthetics programs, children’s charities and accessibility-focused youth initiatives. Available reference material does not establish a complete ownership structure, audited financial history or a definitive list of current executives.

History

Allo was founded in Dnipro in 1998 by Dmytro Derevytskyy and Hryhoriy Derevytskyy. The first store operated as part of an Allo telecom retail chain. Maxim Raskin joined the team in 2002. The company initially concentrated on mobile phones and related electronics, but progressively developed into a broader consumer-technology retailer. In 2004, the group established Cifrotech as a wholesale electronics distributor. The distribution arm later became an important part of the group’s business-to-business activities, supplying more than 1,000 brands and serving corporate customers, retail chains and online electronics sellers. Cifrotech also became the official Ukrainian distributor of Xiaomi in 2017. Allo launched its online store, Allo.ua, in 2006. The digital channel enabled the company to complement its physical chain with nationwide online ordering and delivery. In 2013, Allo introduced or joined the FISHKA coalition loyalty program. During the same year, the Mobilochka retail chain ceased operations, and Allo re-registered lease rights for many of its locations. Mobilochka subsequently remained associated with the group as a franchise project managed by Cifrotech. The company’s online business expanded further in 2017, when Allo introduced a marketplace model allowing external sellers to offer products through its platform. That year also saw the opening of the first Allo Max extended-format store. The larger format supported a wider assortment and provided space for product demonstrations and additional customer services. During the pandemic period, Allo established Allo Express as a postal and logistics operator, launched the Allo Hroshi corporate loyalty program and developed franchised monobrand stores for Ukrainian telecom operators, including Kyivstar, Vodafone and Lifecell. In February 2021, Allo opened its first Smart Home store, featuring products from Xiaomi and other brands associated with the Mi Home ecosystem, including Viomi, Yeelight, Roborock, Soocas, Deerma, Smartmi and Dr.Bei. The online store also achieved strong traffic rankings in Ukraine during this period. Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022 forced major operational adaptations. Allo relocated warehouses to western Ukraine and continued serving areas under Ukrainian control. The chain had approximately 345 sales points at the beginning of the invasion; later company material stated that dozens had been destroyed, looted or left in occupied territories. During nationwide blackouts, some stores were converted into “Points of Invincibility,” offering community access to electricity and other basic facilities. In 2023, Allo added a ChatGPT-based chatbot to its mobile application, expanded Allo Express pickup points and entered a partnership with the OKKO fuel-station network. The company also reported a 22 percent increase in online-division revenue compared with the previous year. Its charitable activities included support for military medical evacuation, children’s healthcare and prosthetics initiatives. During 2024, Allo opened nine stores and renovated 54 existing locations. The group also revised its operating model to improve efficiency and reduce the proportion of expenses in turnover. In the second half of the year, Allo rebranded itself as a marketplace focused on innovation and easier shopping. The mobile application was redesigned with improvements to catalog navigation, product pages, search and ordering. Marketplace merchants gained access to delivery through Allo pickup points. On November 25, 2024, online sales reached a reported 52 percent of total Black Friday sales. At the beginning of 2025, Allo introduced INNOWOW, a category for accessible innovative products with distinctive functionality. From February, it began updating the store format around marketplace pickup, online-order screens and greater storage capacity. In May 2025, the marketplace entered online electric-vehicle sales with a partner, and in June began offering Xiaomi electric cars. By early 2026, reference material described Allo as having more than 250 stores in over 100 cities and online sales representing more than half of total sales. The group’s current activities encompass retail, marketplace services, distribution, logistics, loyalty programs and selected technology-related mobility products.
