AmeriGas

AmeriGas is a U.S. propane distribution and related-services brand serving residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, and automotive-fuel customers. Its activities generally include propane supply and delivery, tank and equipment services, scheduled deliveries, and fuel programs tailored to different customer settings. Established in 1959, the brand operates under UGI Corporation. Because propane is used for residential heating, cooking, hot water, agricultural equipment, and some vehicle-fuel applications, AmeriGas has a strong regional-distribution and infrastructure-oriented business profile. The available material is insufficient to verify a complete history of acquisitions, operating scale, financial performance, or precise market-share rankings, so no unsupported figures are included here.

AmeriGas was established in 1959 and built its business around propane-related operations. As propane demand developed across residential heating, commercial operations, agriculture, and industry in the United States, the brand expanded into fuel supply and distribution for multiple customer segments. Its operating model is based on regional storage, transportation, delivery, and customer service, with related tank and equipment services. AmeriGas later became part of UGI Corporation and was incorporated into UGI's energy-business structure. The available material is not sufficient to reconstruct the brand's expansion, acquisitions, leadership changes, or distribution-network development with confidence, so no additional specific dates or events are asserted.
