Amfi Alta

Amfi Alta is a shopping centre located in the centre of Alta in Finnmark, Norway. It opened on 4 May 2000 as Alta Storsenter with 35 stores, and was expanded three years later. The centre was developed after the Wærass-gården, Bohus and Fakt-gården buildings were constructed; together these properties comprised around 10,000 square metres. In 2008 the basement of Fakt-gården was excavated to make room for a new parking garage. On 12 November 2009 the rebuilt centre opened under the name Amfi Alta. Since opening, the centre has housed between 65 and 70 stores, and it was further expanded in 2025. In March 2026 the shopping centre changed its name from AMFI Alta to Thon Senter Alta. The centre is part of the Amfi/Thon Senter chain, associated with the Norwegian property group Thon Eiendom. Its official web presence is at amfi.no/amfi-alta/ and thonsenter.no/alta/.
