Overview

ANSR is a professional-services company focused on the establishment and operation of Global Capability Centers (GCCs), also called Global In-house Centers or GICs. These centers are enterprise-owned teams that perform technology, analytics, finance, operations, research, customer support, and other specialized work for multinational companies. ANSR combines market-entry advice, operating-model design, talent acquisition, workspace development, administrative support, and business operations into an integrated service for organizations seeking to build global teams. The company was founded in India in 2004 by Lalit Ahuja through a joint venture with Target Corporation. Its early work centered on helping international enterprises create and scale Indian capability centers. Rather than operating only as a conventional consultant or recruitment provider, ANSR developed a model intended to manage and expand global teams without requiring clients to make all of the initial capital and operational investments themselves. By 2015, the company was describing this as a dedicated GCC service model. ANSR’s client and partner activity has spanned retail, financial services, aviation, consumer goods, healthcare, travel and logistics, food service, and technology. Reported GCC relationships have included Target, Wells Fargo, Delta Air Lines, PepsiCo, Lowe’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Marriott, Best Buy, Kenvue, Neighborly, Northern Tool + Equipment, 7-Eleven, 3M, Inspire Brands, and Neiman Marcus Group. In 2019, PepsiCo selected ANSR to support the creation of a GCC in Hyderabad. ANSR also partnered with Automation Anywhere to provide robotic-process-automation capabilities to GCC customers. The company expanded its technology and talent infrastructure during the 2020s. Its acquisition of FastNext added an artificial-intelligence-oriented recruitment capability, which supported the development of the Talent500 platform. Partnerships with Google Cloud and IBM broadened ANSR’s ability to support cloud modernization, analytics, artificial intelligence, automation, and centers of excellence. In 2021, the company announced plans to develop AI-enabled products including Leap, Loop, and Rise and to expand its geographic reach beyond India. ANSR later positioned its offering as a broader GCC technology and operations stack. Talent500 launched TalentInsights in 2024 as an AI-supported system for sourcing, screening, and hiring professionals. The acquisition of hrEntries added human-capital-management functionality; after the transaction, the platform was integrated into ANSR’s GCC SuperApp and rebranded as Rise. ANSR also acquired a majority interest in Summit Consulting Services to strengthen support for mid-sized GCCs in India. The company has attracted strategic and financial backing from Accel, Sistema Asia Fund, Evolvence India Fund, ServiceNow Ecosystem Ventures, and Accenture. These relationships reflect the growing importance of GCCs as enterprises use international locations to access technical talent, reduce operating friction, and build globally distributed capabilities. In 2022, ANSR refreshed its visual identity and announced an initiative with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office and group company Talent500 involving investment in regional team-building and expansion. ANSR also established the ANSR Foundation in October 2024. The foundation focuses on reducing economic inequality and advancing gender equality through education, STEM-oriented learning, scholarships, skills development, and volunteer programs. A contribution by Lalit Ahuja to BITS Pilani’s endowment was described as supporting education, research, innovation, and infrastructure. By late 2024, ANSR had been recognized by Everest Group as a leader in the India GIC Setup Capabilities assessment. Its current identity is therefore that of a GCC-focused platform combining advisory services, talent systems, workplace and administrative operations, and technology-enabled delivery.

History

ANSR was founded in India in 2004 by Lalit Ahuja through a joint venture with Target Corporation. The company developed around the idea that multinational enterprises could establish globally distributed teams through a specialized partner handling market entry, hiring, workplace creation, and operational administration. Its focus became Global Capability Centers, also known as Global In-house Centers, which allow enterprises to maintain dedicated teams for technology, analytics, finance, operations, and other functions. During its first major period of growth, ANSR helped bring international companies into India and supported the development of more than sixty reported GCCs. In 2015, the company introduced a service model designed to help clients manage and scale global teams without bearing all of the initial capital requirements themselves. That year, Accel invested in ANSR. The funding was directed toward creating additional centers in India and building a program through which startups could work with multinational companies. ANSR later expanded its enterprise relationships, including a 2019 engagement with PepsiCo to support a Hyderabad GCC. It also partnered with Automation Anywhere to provide robotic-process-automation tools to GCC customers. ANSR’s business broadened significantly from 2020 onward. In November 2020, it acquired FastNext, an AI-driven recruitment company, in an all-stock transaction. The acquisition strengthened the technology base behind Talent500 and supported the automation of recruitment workflows. ANSR also announced collaborations with Google Cloud and IBM. These relationships were aimed at cloud-first transformation and the creation of centers of excellence covering cloud, analytics, artificial intelligence, and automation. In 2021, ANSR announced Series B financing from Sistema Asia Fund and Evolvence India Fund. The company described plans to use the capital for expansion into Eastern Europe, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada, as well as for developing AI-supported offerings such as Leap, Loop, and Rise. ANSR and Talent500 subsequently worked with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office on an initiative intended to encourage Indian companies to build teams in the region. Between 2020 and 2022, the company also announced GCC relationships involving Northern Tool + Equipment, 7-Eleven, 3M, Inspire Brands, and Neiman Marcus Group. In 2022, it refreshed its corporate identity and logo. The next phase emphasized strategic technology and investment relationships. ServiceNow Ecosystem Ventures invested in ANSR in October 2023. In January 2024, Talent500 launched TalentInsights, an AI-enabled system for finding, evaluating, and hiring professionals. Accenture made a minority investment later that year, reinforcing ANSR’s role in building and managing GCCs for global enterprises. ANSR also expanded through acquisitions. In August 2024, it acquired hrEntries, a human-capital-management platform, in an all-stock transaction. The platform was incorporated into the company’s GCC SuperApp, which brings together talent, workplace, human-resources, and payroll capabilities; hrEntries was subsequently rebranded as Rise, and its workforce joined ANSR. In October 2024, ANSR acquired a majority stake in Summit Consulting Services to broaden its offering for mid-sized GCCs in India. By 2024, ANSR’s client work covered retail, banking and financial services, healthcare, travel and logistics, food and beverage, and product businesses. The company was recognized by Everest Group as a leader in the India GIC Setup Capabilities assessment for 2024. It also launched the ANSR Foundation, a charitable initiative addressing economic disparity and gender inequality through STEM classrooms, scholarships, education, skills programs, and volunteering. A contribution by Lalit Ahuja to BITS Pilani’s endowment was associated with the foundation’s education-oriented objectives. ANSR remains an active private professional-services and technology platform centered on GCC creation and operations.
