Overview
ATB is a motor and drive technology brand associated with the Wolong-ATB Group. Its ATB Weltzheim, LLC factory in Weltzheim, Germany, was established in 1938 by Gottlob Bauknecht to produce a full range of electric motors, while ATB Spielberg, LLC in Spielberg, Austria, began production of electric motors in 1974 under G.Bauknecht. After ATB was acquired by Wolong, it currently has three factories in China, including Shangyu factory in Shaoxing, Wuhan factory in Hubei province and Nanyang ATB factory. ATB independently developed and produced drive control integrated, high performance, high reliability EC motor and EC fan modules, with motor series models including EM48, EM56, EC112 and EC132, and fan series including forward centrifugal fan, backward centrifugal fan and internal rotor motor axial flow fan. Its product range also includes three-phase asynchronous motors, single-phase motors, explosion-proof motors, brake motors, spindle motors, permanent magnet motors, compact drivers and various industrial motors, mainly used in frame sizes 56 up to 280 for pump, ventilators, mixers, compressors and grinders.
History
ATB's history is linked to the Bauknecht industrial tradition. In 1919, Gottlob Bauknecht established an electrical workshop near Stuttgart. In 1930, production began. The ATB Weltzheim, LLC factory in Weltzheim, Germany, approximately 40km east of Stuttgart, was established in 1938 by Gottlob Bauknecht to produce a full range of electric motors. The ATB name consists of Austrian and German-driven technology and the initials of the founder's first name. ATB Spielberg, LLC in Spielberg, about 60km west of Graz, Austria, began production of electric motors in 1974 under G.Bauknecht. In 2001, A-TEC Industries AG acquired ATB Group, followed by ATB Engine Technology Co. (formerly FG), ATB Technology Co. (formerly Thien), ATB SELNISAS of France, ATB Morley Ltd. of Britain, ATB Sever Holdings International of Serbia, and ATB China Shanghai Limited. After ATB was acquired by Wolong, it currently has three factories in China, including Shangyu factory in Shaoxing, Wuhan factory in Hubei province and Nanyang ATB factory.
