Overview

Basbug Group is a Turkish automotive spare parts distributor. The company began in 1974 in Aksaray, Istanbul with the wholesale and retail sale of spare parts for Ford Anadol automobiles. Over time, it expanded its product range to include spare parts for many other car brands and now operates modern facilities in several Turkish cities, aiming to be a leading company in the sector.

History

Basbug Group's origins trace back to 1974 when Başbuğ Oto Yedek Parça A.Ş. began commercial activities in Aksaray, Istanbul, with the wholesale and retail sale of spare parts for Ford Anadol brand automobiles. After two years, it added spare parts for Ford brand vehicle groups. In 1987, due to the increase in Ford automobiles in Turkey and the growing need for spare parts, the company moved to a new building in Aksaray with 2,000 m2 of storage space and started wholesale spare parts sales covering a large region of Turkey. In subsequent years, it made distribution agreements with leading European automotive main industry manufacturers, adding quality, availability, and affordable price to its product diversity, and accelerated wholesale spare parts sales covering all 81 provinces of Turkey. In 2000, to provide better service and faster response to demands, it moved to a central building in Hadımköy, Istanbul, with 12,000 m2 of storage space. It added spare parts for Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, BMW, Opel, Peugeot, Citroen, Hyundai, Kia, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Land Rover, Mini, Chevrolet, Fiat, and Renault group vehicles to its product range, and in 2019 added Subaru, Daihatsu, Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Nissan, Suzuki. Today, it continues to grow with modern facilities in Istanbul (24,000 m2), Ankara (6,000 m2), Adana (3,000 m2), Izmir (7,000 m2), and Erzurum (3,000 m2) storage areas, maintaining its vision of being the leading company in the sector.
