Blumenbecker

The Blumenbecker Group is an internationally operating industrial group with three areas of competence: Industrial-Automation, Industrial-Trade and Industrial-Service. It describes itself as a partner for industry and trade, offering customised and tailor-made solutions as well as complementary services for process automation, control technology, industrial maintenance and industrial supplies. The group operates companies in Germany, large parts of Eastern Europe, India, China (P.R.) and the USA, and assists customers with industrial relocations, plant relocations and automation projects. Its history traces back to 1922, when Theodor Blumenbecker and Hans Goeke set up an armature winding business in Beckum; the company celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2022.

Theodor Blumenbecker (born 9 May 1894) and Hans Goeke set up their own business in Beckum, founding an armature winding shop to repair electric motors and machines and install lighting and power installations. The 28-year-old fitter Theodor Blumenbecker from Bochum founded the anchor winding company in Beckum with his colleague Hans Goeke. From May 1922 they wanted to try it on their own business, and the trade register entry read 'Anchor winding shop to repair electric motors and machines and install light and power systems'. In 1928 Hans Goeke left the company again for personal reasons and returned to Bochum. Theodor Blumenbecker's children, Bernhard and Marianne Blumenbecker, joined the business in the 1950s, and the fields of business were continually expanded. In 90 years, Blumenbecker progressed from being a crafts firm to becoming an internationally operating group of companies comprised of around 20 highly specialised companies operating in various fields of business. What began 100 years ago in a small workshop has developed into an internationally active group of companies, and the company was able to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2022.
